i do some i ran war updates got uh a pause as america celebrates the 4th of july which if you're doing that now good on ya um probably won't have a lot of americans in this stream today it'd be mostly europeans because everyone's out watching the fireworks eating hot dogs burning israeli flags that's what i do every fourth of juli take that star david which david never had a star davis didn't even exist but uh lighting so so uh anyway there's kind of a pause because you've got the fourth of july on one side a giant funeral on the other side international i was invited to that um couldn't go couldn't afford it they offered to pay i'm like no i'm not making you pay for my flights and stuff to come attend a funeral in iran but it's on my bucket list if we can get the Substack built up and turn it around again we'll uh i'm doing stuff like that but things are tough things are tough haven't been able to write as much i do hope you enjoy the stuff the esoteric stuff and the ancient gods and bitcoin and other topics i've been tackling i just had to write about a bunch of things while i couldn't do current events but we can do these live streams quick and nerdy there hasn't been a lot were hopeful because some sanctions were actually lifted they lifted sanctions on iranian oil but that's because the entire global oil market is desperate since the strait has been closed they can't get gulf oil they might as well get iran's oil and in a hilarious move trump also said he lifted the restrictions on using the dollar and i think it's funny that people thought that iran got off the dollar no they were kicked off the dollar they wanted to use dollars they weren't allowed to use dollars that's why they've been selling a yuan and yen and rupees and whatever this whole time trump finally said okay you can use the dollar now but none of the banks want to accept it because they're like why would why would any of us trade in dollars when it's so fragile and you guys can pull the rug at any moment well they won't and they aren't and so they're going to continue to trade in local currencies or bilateral trades as it's called like japan pays in yen china pays in yuan and so on indio you know they pay in their own currencies because they don't want to use dollars dollar would be stable like it from a labor point of view from a currency point of view it's a great currency but from a political point of view no no one wants to use anything it's like using paypal why would they use that when they know that paypal can just shut down your account at any moment for a political reason well people don't so they don't want to use that like no wire the money do something else i'm not using that because those people cancel people over nothing just like stripe just like patreon like a lot of these financial institutions you do that enough times and people are like oh i don't know we want to use those they only worked when they were monopolies so they're allowed to use dollars but they're probably not going to because it's so fragile and they know that it's only temporary it's only till august 21st for this oil trade and it could be shut down before that at a moment's notice so they're not doing it it is telling though they were the only things the u.s has done in the mou is what they've been forced to do they've had to back up out of the middle east because their bases have been physically destroyed they've had to uh open a window on oil trade because they don't have an alternative because the gulf was shut down because the strait is closed but as far as unfreezing assets it's all we're going to unfreeze 12 billion okay six billion okay three billion but you have to buy u.s goods oh you're not going to get the money you have to make the purchases first and then we give you the money they're just jerking around they keep adding conditions to make until it's impossible to accept the deal and iran's figured this out and given them the finger now if you think that iran doesn't know that they're being jerked around that there is no effing deal you're wrong they're doing this so they can point to it to their trading partners especially china and say see we tried negotiating with terrorists we tried to talk to them we tried diplomacy and it failed and also the clock's ticking because every day that goes by they make more and more ballistic missiles and every day that goes by that the straits close the other side bleeds out the gulf states have lost billions they're the biggest losers in this whole thing well i mean southern lebanon they've had their houses destroyed but those can be remade in time it's not the same as gaza i hate that comparison the people in gaza had nowhere to go at least people in lebanon could run away so like they are alive they lost all their stuff they're homeless it's horrible but it is not gaza gaza the people and the houses were destroyed and they're still bombing gaza they're still killing people in the west bank and they're just gonna do that because there's no consequence for it in fact they're about to integrate their military and their intelligence agency into the u.s budget so you don't even have to slide money through the state department aid anymore just they're just tacked on to the ndaa officially like the idf's just a branch of america totally unconstitutional i don't know why the congress is going to roll over and pass it the cream court should say no you cannot have foreign militaries as part of your military budget you have to do that through aid but it just it's a flex it's a pack going oh yeah look you oh you think we're out of it watch what we can do this is what they're doing so this is that you know we'll have our holiday they'll have their funeral and then it'll get back to hostilities qatar has tapped out saudi arabia has tapped out but fragilely um and uae has tapped out but they kind of go with the saudis saudi arabia has another problem the houthi the houthis are doing probing strikes into aden now if they went aden's in yemen if they went into saudi arabia that could trigger the defense pact with pakistan that's a whole big mess and probably not gonna happen but if they attack the puppet regime in Aden Sanaa and Aden you know that's inside Yemen that's technically a civil war is they could kick the Saudis out of there and in tandem with that they can close the Baba Mundeb straight and man it's really going to hit the fan if both straights are closed because one straight's how you circumvent the other straight so you know you're losing about 20 million barrels a day from the Strait of Hormuz being closed but you get about 7 million subtracted from that that can go southwest and go to the Red Sea and go out the other way but you can close that off then it's much worse so instead of 13 million it's back to 20 and really it also would close the traffic that was going through there anyway and that boosted up to about 30 million barrels a day which is about 30% by the way there's about 100 million floating around anywhere from everywhere so about 30% down and that's lng and all kind of imports and exports gases and metals and so on and so on container ships so it's pretty bad now some container ships can still get to iran because they're just landing in pakistan and then they're taking the land route into iran and that's allowed but iran can not do land exports out but through black markets a lot of diesel and things are getting out and this is sort of a double-edged sword for pakistan because yes they're getting iranian diesel but that hurts their own they're getting it super cheap because it's a black market it's illegal and you know they're gonna pay what you can take um iran gotta just you know take whatever they're offered they have no other buyers it's got to go through pakistan but that hurts pakistan's local markets because you've got this cheap iranian diesel and so they can't sell their own and but it does iran is able to get some money for some diesel on land routes mostly they're going to be using the um the maritime silk road their ships are able to leave uh and go through the u.s could not afford to keep its blockade there any longer they're so low on aviation fuel and diesel that they can't maintain this blockade it was consuming a lot to just have their boats sitting out there all you gotta do is nothing they still got each day the blockade costs the same they gotta maintain it whether you send a ship or not you send like one boat they gotta have all theirs you know it's very easy to defeat such a thing and they did so but pakistan really other than that if you minus the black market above board about 99 of their energy was coming from the gulf so they absolutely need there to be a deal this is why i mean like it wasn't isn't pakistan america's bitch like yeah well not not so much that they're gonna lose 99 of their trade the same with japan let's um they import 99 of their fossil fuels but not from the gulf but a good chunk of it was from the gulf some of it's from russia some of it was from iran itself wherever but a big chunk was from the gulf um some of some canada they get coal from there for example but for oil and gas yeah and it's like it doesn't matter how tight your alliance is with america like all these places want an iran deal south korea wants to arrest netanyahu i mean they're they just had none of it and of the ships that iran is recently allowing out of the strait it's been the ones going to korea isn't that something north korea on the other hand formerly allied with russia against ukraine south korea has these new unmanned uh drone vehicles they got tank treads they're shaped like a triangle and they they just shoot drones they just track things super fast and they blow them out of the air um i just saw those i went to robocop and inchon went down there i have some footage of that it's on my telegram i'll put it on there again because it's probably a few stories back but i'll put it on there again however sk is refusing to sell these to israel or ukraine now it's interesting they're not going to sell them to ukraine considering north korea is allied with russia and they're fighting against ukraine and nato but they're not doing it they're like can't have these take those out and i imagine they're going to make something that can take out these tanker drones soon they're real small i mean they're you know maybe four and a half feet these little tanks but they got firepower and uh they use like gatling gun type they just cheat you know bullets it looks like a laser they come out so fast but one will take out a drone so they just stream it and knock them all down and you they call out like in bunches you know 20 of them can go out at once and they just take out anything any drone that's coming their way you can't hit them all you hit one okay you take out one but there's 19 more you know that it's like soft power you know what it's called and they're all terrain they're fast they got tank treads all weather all that and they've got jammers that go out 500 meters that's quite the distance um so that can drop the non-wired drones just right there it'll jam them and then it's got tracking that if some get through like little wooden ones whatever they can just shoot them so pretty interesting unmanned vehicles they call them little robots kind of disturbing these robot dogs and robot tanks and robot everything that this i was wearing uncle ted and i was like yeah if you know you know i did watch the japanese robot team beat brazil in a little robot soccer match really fun close game um but japan pulled it off it didn't really matter they weren't like that serious they were more like just chess playing with the robots but the crowd took it seriously the engineers didn't care they were just like helping each other really learn stuff but very funny when you've got like a this giant convention center full of scientists and there can be a few hundred people and it's still quiet because they don't really talk to each other they're just all doing their thing and all introverts you turn your head like wow there's a lot of people over there and they're absolutely silent until the robots start doing their games they'll cheer and stuff but it was weird it's not just an asian thing it's just like a personality thing is people who are who are that way and they're spare everybody i don't know it was like 31 countries or something um not evenly distributed but there were americans there there was a whole manner of europeans and other asian countries i saw some from south america like brazil the other but um yeah it's kind of themed with it the cybernetic stuff it could be a very dark future but one good thing they're using ai for and i wrote this story i hope you guys enjoyed it was on the uh herculean museum that was covered by mount presuvius in the pompeii disaster they've got all these baked scrolls about uh 1800 of them or so intact and ai and machine learning and spectrographs and infrared and x-ray and all this stuff is able to 3d model them and unroll them and detect the carbon in the ink and whatever and then you get your linguists and historians and all these people from the arts coming in and archaeologists and stuff and they are piecing this stuff together and it seems to be a bunch of epicurean philosophy i'm having to do an update because it's a hundred dollar per square centimeter so i'm going to take like a hundred million dollars to do this project um but they have translated some lines from a the tiniest scroll they had which is when they tried to open in the 80s and they messed it up and like two pages you know you could say are destroyed because they screwed up so they're like well this one's already damaged let's test this new stuff on this one and they were able to read it it's pretty neat had some bit on there about um how they don't say psychologically because they don't have a word like that they said like um for a good to be known or something within a self they say that you one cannot they don't say appreciate it was like one cannot discern the good of a thing that is in abundance until there is scarcity so like things that are scarce even if something is intrinsically good and needed like food obviously that's unarguably a good thing for humans you die without it then you just don't appreciate it if it's in abundance you can't I've said this before you don't appreciate ice cubes because you can just go to the freezer and get them so when you have ice in your drink it's just like expected or that it's cold because you pulled it out of the refrigerator almost all of you have one of those in your house you pull the thing out of the refrigerator and you have milk or whatever it's not super exciting because that's your baseline it's in abundance and when you have something in abundance it loses its value all to the like minimal level there's some degree of pleasure and happiness still like is you can still i got some ice in my coke today or whatever but it just ain't a thing whereas you roll back like time only kings can get ice in the summer you'd have to go up the mountain and fetch it or wait till it snows or whatever because you can't make it they didn't know the salt peter way either let's say um then to have a you know lemonade you know water sugar like it would be a big deal and it would be fully appreciated if it was scarce but once things that are good become in abundance it is it takes an extreme act of imagination to to continue the that level of appreciation you just when you're on a plane you know as louis ck made the joke you're sitting in a chair going 500 miles an hour in the sky and you're complaining about the whatever you're flying but you expect to fly and it's this isn't just about expectations about it's about abundancy too if you've never flown maybe it's a big deal the first time you fly but it's uh it's weird what we have the scarcity uh versus abundance thing has more impact than if they were all evenly you know the even amount of everything the goodness in them is not as impacted as much as by how hard it is to get and this rolls back into uncle ted and the power process so anyway this was one line from one of these scrolls talking about scarcity and abundance and how humans are like mentally unable to appreciate things in abundance so i'm really looking forward to getting the rest of this stuff dork out with me buds and every day they're like inch by inch going through getting it flipping it translating it and then translating the translation because you got to know the historical time period stuff it's not just like oh i speak greek or anything like that you got to know the references um it's a probably like the symbols and stuff the idioms we have today and what things mean today that people just sort of know meanings of like colors and numbers and stuff that they really have nothing to do with them like why is blue sad and yellow happy and 13's unlucky like we just made that up and those things change throughout time this is a really stupid example but it's just off the top of my head um off the top of my head that idiom what does just linguistics and and language you got to know the historical context and the way they wrote and what they knew and their mythologies and stuff and what they're referring to and things that planes near iran still and what country is banned from the u.s. look you can fly to uh to iran well i could as an american the visa stuff's not a problem i can fly there from korea if i had the money but commercial planes are not the same as war planes if those apache helicopters or fighter jets get near iranian territory they will shoot at them and they did it before so they're not allowed they is getting is what they physically forced the u.s. got its refuelers out it backed its boats up it's having to transport people out of the bases in braining kuwait they're going west toward jordan and to uh israel itself they're um still floating around in the gulf but that you know that threat whatever the question mark is the bases in iraq because those some of those were secret and but the pmu uh have been killing those kurdish training centers and this is affecting that plan i don't think there's ever going to be a kurdish ground invasion of iran but you know syria perhaps they you know they can train in one area and then hop back to rojava whatever so that is coming to an end the big thing is the ground war in lebanon like this all depends if hezbollah can maintain its level of damage that is doing to israel they're going to get desperate and what's happening is you're inching closer and closer to a full-on iran versus israel war which i still think would be limited to the air air and artillery you know um but iran has allies and hezbollah and the houthis but israel doesn't these gulf states are like because if america launches from them then iran hits them back and you know three of the major ones have already tapped out and bahrain the fifth fleet that that whole port is basically being destroyed and i'll tell you further it's going to come down to haifa understand this currently because the the rocky oil has been cut off israel imports 76 percent of its oil from the mediterranean they don't care about this straight and foremost because they're getting oil from azerbaijan that caspian oil that caspian oil has to go through pipelines in turkey it's called the btc baku is the b that's where it starts c is where it ends it's called chan and it goes through the mediterranean to israel and it goes through haifa about 40 something percent is from azerbaijan and then another chunk from kazakhstan but it's that also has to go through the mediterranean so together about 76 of their oil is coming from the north all from mediterranean all through haifa from those two countries further oil from everywhere else also goes to haifa that's been closed the southern port of israel is where they would take excess israel excess oil slide it down go to the red sea and export that to whoever usually asia from the mediterranean it's like a it's like a second option to the straight to the suez canal is you could slide it through israel if it's liquid container ships would have to use the suez but if you have oil you can just go from haifa to lat and then load it up and then go that's gonna end so if they can take out haifa and if you look at the attacks on israel they were hypha centric it would be oh bomb tel aviv i know bomb jerusalem bomb negev bomb demona very satisfying but strategically haifa is where it's at if you take out the haifa ports they cannot import their energy needs and lights go out like cuba so haifa is within range of the u.s to go to iran to basically pay them to knock it off on israel so they did but that isn't gonna work again they're getting jerked around they're not getting uh their asset relief and the next round when israel israel's like the scorpion and the frog and the scorpion story you know why'd you sting me you're gonna drown too this is in its nature they will sting the frog and they will drown
