Footage above is of participants at the October 9 2023 anti-Israel rally outside the Sydney Opera House chanting “Gas the Jews” or “Where’s the Jews,” “F**k the Jews,” and “Allahu Akbar.”

It sent shockwaves around the world, revealing a troubling side of Australia, a nation not previously known for having major issues stemming from Islamist anti-Semitism.

Many experts believe that Western civilization faces an existential threat as a result of two factors converging: mass Islamic migration and low birth rates within the host communities.

Nowhere is that more evident than in the changes we’ve seen to formerly great European nations such the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, and Austria.

Europe should serve as a warning; Australia still has time to avoid a similar fate.

European nations grapple with homegrown radicalization, militant recruitment, and the institutional or social integration of diaspora populations.

In the United Kingdom, major urban centres have historically been hubs for extremist organizing and “homegrown” jihadist movements. Their security agency, MI5, continuously monitors a high volume of active subjects of interest.

France continues to record one of the highest volumes of foiled and completed jihadist attacks in the European Union. The nation faces an ongoing threat from both organized sleeper cells and radicalized lone actors, frequently drawing on Islamic State (ISIS) propaganda.

Germany consistently ranks among the top European countries targeted by terror plots, including cells attempting to target U.S. and NATO military bases. The country heavily monitors foreign Islamist influence structures, such as the Muslim Brotherhood, as threats to its constitutional order.

Spain’s hard-left socialist government is also allowing up to 500,000 new migrants from North Africa who entered the country illegally to be granted legal residency. This is strongly opposed by many people - both in Spain and in neighbouring countries.

Belgium has served as a central logistical base for transnational jihadist networks, drawing significant counter-terrorism resources from the European Union.

Austria has the highest proportional challenge of political Islam within its borders and has been a frequent site for counter-terrorism arrests and state-level actions to push back against radicalized elements.

Looking back in history, many predominantly Christian countries and regions in the Middle East and North Africa have been overrun by Muslims.

This shift occurred primarily through Arab conquests starting in the 7th century and subsequent centuries of unrelenting demographic, political, and cultural integration.

The specific historical regions and modern-day countries impacted include:

Egypt: A cornerstone of early Christian theology (cantered around the Coptic Church), it fell to the Rashidun Caliphate between 639 and 642 AD.

Syria and Jordan: The heartland of early Christian communities and the Byzantine Levant, these areas were conquered in the 7th century.

Lebanon: Originally overwhelmingly Christian (largely Maronite), the region gradually transitioned over centuries of Islamic rule, although it maintains a politically significant Christian minority.

Iraq (Mesopotamia): A vital centre for the Church of the East, it was conquered in the 7th century following the collapse of the Sasanian Empire.

North Africa (Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Morocco): Once the home of major Latin Church fathers like St. Augustine, the entire region was conquered by the Umayyad Caliphate between 647 and 709.

Turkey (Asia Minor): Primarily the Christian Byzantine Empire for centuries, it transitioned to a Muslim majority following the 11th-century Seljuk invasions and the subsequent expansion of the Ottoman Empire.

The Balkans (Albania, Bosnia): During centuries of Ottoman rule in south-eastern Europe, significant portions of the local Christian populations eventually converted to Islam.

Central Asia: Regions covering modern-day Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan had established Nestorian Christian populations before being swept into the Islamic world during the 8th-century expansion.

As can be seen, the march of Islam has been constant throughout the ages.

Whilst most Muslims in Australia appear to be peaceful, law-abiding citizens, there is certainly a growing minority who are determined to advance their radical interpretation of their faith.

They want to impose Sharia law and appear willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that objective.

Imams and other Islamic leaders appear unwilling to publicly oppose them, which suggests to many that they are quietly supporting the same objective.

It’s clear that Christians and Jews are being targeted throughout much of the world.

The ‘World Watch List’ is Open Doors’ annual ranking of the countries where Christians face the most extreme persecution. The map below identifies the current situation.

This should cause concern amongst ALL people who want to live peaceful lives – not just Christians and Jews.

We all need to recognise the extent of the problem and ensure that our political leaders are taking appropriate action to exclude people who want to come to our country in order to ferment hate and division - and ultimately change our society to suit their radical Islamist objectives.

Meanwhile, those already in Australia must be stopped by whatever legal means are necessary to do so.
