Yes, Kent's resignation letter pushed a long standing antisemitic trope. Yes, it is more antisemitic vitriol

Источник: https://drlou.substack.com/p/yes-kents-resignation-letter-pushed

Zionism has become an historical anachronism which, fundamentally, now represents Israel’s right to exist. So, yes, Anti-Zionism is fully interchangeable with antisemitism. America’s right to exist is not questioned despite its current violent, illiberal, anti-constitutional and extremist hard Right government. Despite illegal detention of parents, landscapers, preschool teachers - and small children wearing bunny hats with spiderman backpacks. Despite the on camera execution of US citizens.

Though Trump is no more ‘America’ than Netanyahu is ‘Israel,’ opposing Trump is not anti-America except, perhaps, according to Trump and Stephen Miller. In the same way, opposing Netanyahu' and his government, by itself, is not antisemitic. The issue is that rejecting Netanyahu has become routinely conflated with attacking Israel while denying Israel’s right to exist. THIS is antisemitism.

That so much attention has been focused on AIPAC and its supposed ‘control’ over the American government is nonsense. Yes, AIPAC is predominantly (but not only) Jewish. And it is a lobby which supports not so much Israel as it has become an unconditional apologist and defender of Netanyahu and Israel’s Jewish extremist hard Right government. This is in the same way the Heritage Foundation or Federalist Society unconditionally supports and defends the extremist Trump regime. I have yet to see either singled out, however, as has AIPAC.

AIPAC is just one more irresponsible Right-wing political lobby supporting an irresponsible Right-wing government (as we currently also have in the US). I’m Jewish. And I support Israel and its right to exist as strongly as I oppose Netanyahu and his violent Jewish Supremacist government. I’m most definitely not antisemitic or anti-’Zionist.’

But there are far more insidious and destructive lobbies in the United States by billionaire (Musk, Ellison, Murdoch and techbros), political (Project 2025 and Heritage Foundation), corporate (from climate denialists, fossil fuel and gun lobbies to Peter Theil. Those who don’t know who he is should look him up) and agenda-based (to notably include the NAR and violent Christian Nationalist).

But it seems only the so identified ‘Jewish lobby’ is of concern.

AIPAC, in fact, also strongly supports a collection of hard right, Christian Nationalist (pro-Israel) US politicians and organizations who are not ‘led by’ Israel but by money and religious delusion. A number of AIPAC supported US politicians are pursuing extremely violent postmillennial ‘biblical’ fantasies via Israel and the immediate region. It is of a Middle East wide war led by Israel to recover ‘biblical’ Israel (which includes Trump’s war of #Epstein choice with Iran) and facilitate the mythical second coming of ‘Jesus.’ Ironically, these Christian Zionist bible-based delusions are particularly unfriendly to Israel and to Jews.

Kent’s letter certainly was part of a long antisemitic trope intended to continue the incitement and violent antisemitism which has been sweeping the US and Europe. Kent’s only honest statement was that Iran was not an imminent threat and that Trump’s war of choice in Iran is deadly dishonest and wrong – if not for the specific reasons he identifies.

Who knows Kent’s political history? Check it out. Not doubt there are many who do know and fully agree with his sickening, perverted agenda

Attacks on synagogues and Jewish shops in the UK, Europe and the US don’t hurt Netanyahu. They just hurt ordinary Jews

“So forgive Jews for experiencing gunfire at a synagogue as an antisemitic attack. Forgive us for hearing in the broken glass of a shop window a terrifying echo. Maybe the person hurling that brick thought they were attacking a country far away. But the sound it made was of a deadly past, one we Jews thought we had left behind long ago”

Violent antisemitism is a common recurring theme of losers and failing governments across the millenia. Because People Love Dead Jews…,’ dead Jews are rarely a concern. This violent antisemitism is now being intensely stirred back up for the same reasons as before by people like Kent, Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Trump – and so many other losers in the US and Europe
