Netanyahu's primary objective in Gaza was to remain PM. Has Trump worked out a deal with Hamas? Источник: https://drlou.substack.com/p/netanyahus-primary-objective-in-gaza ============================================================ Hamas seen working to maintain control of Gaza via Trump-backed bodies https://www.timesofisrael.com/hamas-seen-working-to-maintain-control-of-gaza-via-trump-backed-bodies/ Remember that it was Trump who unconditionally handed Afghanistan back to the Taliban simply because he thought he'd get a foreign policy perk. He did this without telling the Afghan government and only minimally the US military who disagreed with his plan. In doing so, he doomed that tragic country, especially its women and girls. That the foreign policy perk didn't occur as Trump had hoped just let him just throw Afghanistan onto Biden's shoulders which the media sucked up. Trump quickly forgot about Afghanistan, to include our amazing allies within the country, and moved to creating his next catastrophe I don't think Hamas 'fooled' Trump exactly. I think there is a better chance that Trump and his real estate agent team were more collaborative in the process. It was Trump, after all, who gifted back the portion of Gaza to Hamas and initially even agreed to their use of arms. I'd offer that Trump's real estate division of Witkoff and Kushner made an at least informal deal that Hamas will keep their smaller portion of Gaza - at least for now -while they create the Trump Riviera in the rest. I also think this was a setup to allow Netanyahu and his Jewish Supremacist Right to ultimately go back into Gaza and Hamas' portion to surge their war. That may seem contradictory, but the depth of Trump's ignorance and rapidly encroaching dementia makes it hard to identify what exactly he's try to do or is thinking at any given moment Ambassador Huckabee has already approved of Israel's never-ending war in the post-millennial Christian Zionist fantasy of taking over biblical Israel in its entirety. Netanyahu spent 2 years obliterating Gaza and killing tens of thousands of civilians unnecessarily but was absolutely unable to disarm, demilitarize or neutralize Hamas. Hamas's only purpose is the annihilation of Israel and they don't care how many Palestinians they continue to kill in the process. It's not over The return of the hostages both living and deceased was remarkable and I am one of those truly grateful. But I think Hamas gave up the hostages more for lack of resources to maintain them while figuring correctly that it would buy them political capital with Trump. Hamas is well aware that Trump is only about Trump The idea that Netanyahu could now go into Gaza more 'aggressively' sounds almost psychopathic. His stated war aims failed miserably. If anything, Netanyahu's model of war in Gaza most likely served to assist Hamas in its recruiting drives. But his real war aim of keeping himself as PM - that was a success.
